Does The Glue On Your Old Figures Losses Its Strength?

Does the glue on your old figures loses its strength? As you can see from the pictures below, the glue has lost its strength on one of my Ignis' hair. My Ignis is a product of year 2005/06 by Max Factory.

At first I thought my Ignis hair grew o.O". I quickly went to check online to see where the hair comes from. LOL
